NaCOT’s flagship poetry series “On the Border” runs in Chepstow, bringing together contemporary Welsh poets with their peers from elsewhere. The emphasis is on accessible poetry, inspiring poets and compelling readings – all of which add up to a great night out. Future poetry events will include readings for adults, children and open mike sessions, as well as a series of evenings with the UK’s leading poets.
We have begun a series of storytelling sessions with top flight storytellers such as Michael Harvey and Daniel Morden.
We plan to expand this programme so as to offer storytelling to both children and adults, and also to run after school sessions for primary school children to immerse the young in narrative and imagery.
NaCOT seeks to improve and add to the public discourse by presenting interesting speakers on a wide range of topics, including neuroscience, oracy, emotional intelligence and creativity.
We are also happy to deliver presentations to organisations, associations and societies on a host of subjects including, Public Speaking, Language and Imagination, Story and Imagery, Authentic Presentation in Leadership – and NaCOT itself.
A varied programme from workshops for leaders on how to their maximise personal impact; through adventure weekends for fathers and sons to spend quality time with each other; to poetry, story and ritual for returning service personnel and their families to bring them back home. Further events to be scheduled include beginner, intermediate and masterclass workshops on poetry delivery and storytelling.
